Uricostat 80 mg Tablet is prescribed to manage chronic hyperuricemia in patients with gout. It works by inhibiting the xanthine oxidase enzyme, which plays a key role in uric acid production. Lowering uric acid levels helps prevent painful gout attacks and joint damage.
